Automatic Lead Capture

Every time someone triggers one of your automations, Lazyspond automatically captures their information and stores it in your dashboard. This gives you a complete record of everyone interested in your offers.

What Gets Captured

When a lead is captured, Lazyspond records:

Accessing Your Leads

View All Leads

  1. Log into your Lazyspond dashboard
  2. Click Leads in the left sidebar
  3. You'll see a list of all captured leads, sorted by most recent first

Lead Information

Each lead shows:

  • Their Instagram username and display name
  • The keyword they triggered
  • When they triggered it
  • A link to their Instagram profile

Filtering Leads

You can filter your leads by:

By Keyword:

  • Click the keyword filter
  • Select which keyword(s) to view
  • See only leads from specific automations

By Date Range:

  • Select a date range
  • View leads from specific time periods
  • Useful for analyzing campaign performance

By Trigger Type:

  • Filter by Story replies only
  • Filter by comments only
  • Or view both

Searching Leads

Use the search bar to find specific leads:

  • Search by username
  • Search by display name
  • Quickly find a specific person

Lead Data Storage

How Long Are Leads Stored?

Leads are stored permanently in your Lazyspond account. You can access them anytime, even years later.

Profile Pictures

Meta frequently expires image URLs, but Lazyspond automatically intercepts and permanently stores avatar thumbnails when a lead is captured. This means:

  • You'll always have a profile picture for each lead
  • Even if they change their Instagram avatar later, you'll have the original
  • Profile pictures are stored securely

Data Privacy

Your lead data is:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Only accessible to you and your team
  • Compliant with Instagram's terms of service

Exporting Leads

Manual Export

You can export your leads as a CSV file:

  1. Go to Leads in your dashboard
  2. Click "Export as CSV"
  3. Select the date range and filters you want
  4. Download the file

The CSV includes:

  • Username
  • Display name
  • Keyword triggered
  • Trigger type
  • Timestamp
  • Profile picture URL

Webhook Export (Starter+ Plans)

For real-time lead capture, use webhooks to send leads to external systems:

Lead Organization

Tagging Leads

You can add custom tags to organize your leads:

  1. Click on a lead
  2. Click "Add Tag"
  3. Create or select a tag (e.g., "Hot Lead", "Interested", "Purchased")
  4. Save

Tags help you:

  • Segment your audience
  • Track lead status
  • Identify high-value leads
  • Organize follow-ups

Lead Status

Track the status of each lead:

  • New — Just captured
  • Contacted — You've reached out
  • Interested — They've shown interest
  • Qualified — Ready for sales
  • Converted — They've made a purchase
  • Inactive — No recent engagement

Notes

Add notes to each lead:

  1. Click on a lead
  2. Click "Add Note"
  3. Type your notes (e.g., "Interested in pricing", "Follow up next week")
  4. Save

Notes are visible to your entire team and help with follow-ups.

Lead Analytics

Lead Dashboard

Your lead dashboard shows:

  • Total leads captured — All-time count
  • Leads this month — Current month count
  • Leads this week — Current week count
  • Top keywords — Which keywords capture the most leads
  • Capture rate — Percentage of followers who trigger automations

Leads by Keyword

See which keywords are most effective:

  1. Go to Analytics
  2. Look at "Leads by Keyword"
  3. See which automations drive the most interest

Use this to:

  • Identify your most popular offers
  • Double down on what works
  • Pause underperforming automations
  • Test new keywords

Leads Over Time

Track lead growth over time:

  1. Go to Analytics
  2. Look at "Leads Over Time" chart
  3. See trends and patterns

Use this to:

  • Identify peak engagement times
  • Plan content around high-engagement periods
  • Measure the impact of campaigns

Integrating Leads with Your CRM

Zapier Integration

Automatically send leads to your CRM, email list, or other tools:

  1. Connect Lazyspond to Zapier
  2. Create a Zap that sends new leads to your CRM
  3. Leads automatically sync in real-time

Lead Limits by Plan

Different plans have different monthly reply limits, which affects how many leads you can capture:

One lead can trigger multiple replies (if they interact multiple times), so actual lead count may be lower than reply count.

What Happens When You Hit Your Limit?

When you reach your monthly reply limit:

  1. Your automations safely pause
  2. You receive an email notification
  3. New interactions won't trigger replies
  4. You can upgrade anytime to resume

Your leads are never lost — they're just not receiving automated replies until you upgrade.

Best Practices

1. Review Leads Regularly

Check your leads dashboard at least weekly to:

  • See what's working
  • Identify trends
  • Plan follow-ups
  • Adjust your strategy

2. Follow Up Quickly

Remember: Lead qualification drops 80% if wait times exceed 5 minutes. Follow up with leads as soon as possible.

3. Segment Your Leads

Use tags and filters to organize leads by:

  • Interest level
  • Product interest
  • Engagement level
  • Purchase intent

4. Export and Backup

Regularly export your leads as a backup:

  1. Go to Leads
  2. Click "Export as CSV"
  3. Save to your computer

5. Integrate with Your CRM

Don't let leads sit in Lazyspond. Integrate with your CRM to:

  • Automatically add leads to your email list
  • Trigger follow-up sequences
  • Track the full customer journey

Troubleshooting

Leads Not Appearing?

  1. Check that your automation is active
  2. Verify you haven't hit your monthly limit
  3. Wait a few seconds and refresh
  4. See Troubleshooting

Missing Lead Information?

Some fields may be empty if:

  • The user has a private account
  • They haven't filled out their profile
  • Instagram hasn't synced their data yet

This is normal and doesn't affect lead quality.

Can't Export Leads?

  • Make sure you have the right plan (CSV export is available on all plans)
  • Try a different browser
  • Contact support@lazyspond.com if issues persist
